South East Bids Farewell to RDM
Graham Woodham, regional development manager for Skills for Care South East, is to move to an exciting new post within the sector skills council.
Graham (pictured) is to take up a SfC national post as regional liaison manager for the Newly Qualified Social Worker (NQSW) programme from July 1.
"This is a new initiative that SfC is delivering," said Graham. "My professional background is in adult social work and social worker practice education and I'm really excited to have this opportunity to be involved in supporting the development of this programme across all the SfC regions."
Graham, who has been with SfC South East for the last 2½ years, has achieved many changes working with employers across the region and has overseen the restructuring of the regional team, and the strengthening of support provided to employers and others by the new SfC team.
Graham leaves SfC South East with a very strong structure, ideally placed to take forward the work of SfC.
"In the 2½ years, together with the regional committee and the SfC team, we have faced a huge number of challenges that we have been able to work through and take forward together," he said.
"We have seen development of, and completion of a number of excellent pieces of work, not least a lot of very local activity across all the sub-regions."
Highlights of this period include:
- the SECAS brokerage programme which SfC, working with other partners, was instrumental in helping to deliver, and;
- implementation of the National Minimum Data Set for Social Care spearheaded by regional development officer David Cubey.
